Intensive Therapy Sessions

Traditional therapy sessions are extremely beneficial, but sometimes, an hour-long session a few times a month is not enough to get to the root of a problem, to access healing, and to begin to see major shifts in your life.

You may spend the first 30 minutes catching your therapist up on what’s transpired in your life since your last session, and the last 5 minutes or so getting your next appointment scheduled. That only leaves approximately 25 minutes to go deep on any one issue or topic before your therapeutic process is interrupted.

Intensives are a format of therapy that allows clients to experience deep transformation in a more accelerated manner than traditional therapy sessions by creating an opportunity to meet for longer periods of time.

Intensive Therapy sessions are perfect for clients who…

…are motivated to do the work.

…want to go deeper than is possible in a traditional 50-minute therapy session.

…don’t want to wait months to feel better.

…have work or caregiving schedules that are demanding, making weekly therapy difficult to maintain.

“Kim has been a grounding force throughout the most excruciating period of my life, helping me to attend to the various parts of myself so that I am able to “show up” as the person I wish to be.”

Intensives

  • These Intensives are a good fit for caregivers who are overwhelmed, stressed, exhausted, lost, lonely, anxious, worried, depressed, and/or traumatized.

Most caregivers I work with have a difficult time blocking off an hour a week for therapy. Between all the other appointments, errands, and responsibilities, therapy can feel like one more thing you have to logistically manage. Intensives are a great way to consolidate and make good use of your time away from caregiving duties.

Once a month, for 3-4 hours, these sessions allow you to set time aside just for you to rest, process, and heal. The focus can be on learning new coping skills, processing stress and trauma, psycho-education, or moving through a series of relaxation techniques to help you feel grounded again.

Sessions will be curated for you based on thorough pre-screening and assessments and may integrate IFS, EMDR, somatic/body work, journeying, art, guided meditations and psycho-education.
