About your guides:
Amret Hawfield, a Winston native, is a dedicated yoga teacher and physician who brings a unique blend of medical expertise and holistic wellness to her practice. With a passion for helping others achieve optimal health, she draws on her own personal health journey to inspire and guide her students. Having worked to remove the toxins of perfectionism from her own life, Amret understands the importance of balance, self-compassion, and living authentically.
She has discovered a deep love for cooking clean, healthy, whole meals that are not only nourishing but also delicious and satisfying. Her approach to wellness is integrative, combining the science of medicine with the mindful practices of yoga, and her commitment to a healthy lifestyle extends far beyond the yoga mat.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Amret is more active than most, frequently engaging in hiking, mountain biking, paddleboard yoga, and gardening. She finds joy and renewal in nature and believes that physical activity is a vital part of living a full and vibrant life. She is also a fan of saunas and cold plunges, regularly incorporating these practices into her wellness routine for their rejuvenating and detoxifying benefits. You can most often find her in the NC mountains spending time with her husband, two daughters and a dog, Ronnie.
Amret is an inspiration to her friends and colleagues, always encouraging those around her to embark on their own health and wellness journeys. Whether through her yoga classes, her medical practice, or her own example, she is committed to helping others find their path to greater well-being and a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Kim Wilson has lived in Winston Salem for the past 12 years. She grew up in one of the poorest counties in the country, in Appalachian Kentucky, where she learned the importance of joining together in community and sharing resources with each other. Kim is a compassionate and dedicated mental health therapist specializing in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). As a Level 2 IFS therapist, she integrates these powerful therapeutic modalities into her practice to help women in their 40s through 90s navigate life's transitions and challenges. She calls herself a frequent traveler of the timeline, carrying messages to and from the intergenerational population she is grateful to work with. Her approach is both playful and profound, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for clients to explore their inner worlds, establish a strong sense of self, and cultivate greater confidence and self-compassion.
With a deep love for people and a genuine curiosity about their unique stories, Kim is committed to guiding her clients on a journey of self-discovery and healing. She brings warmth, empathy, and a touch of humor to each session, believing that therapy can be both a transformative and enjoyable experience.
Outside of her practice, Kim enjoys spending time with her ever-growing family, as well as her cats, dogs, and chickens. A prolific reader, she often immerses herself in books that expand her understanding of the human experience. She also loves to hike and, on occasion, can be found running—when her knees allow it! Her passion for personal growth and connection extends beyond her professional life, making her a dynamic and inspiring presence both in and out of the therapy room.
